        <div  class="newsletter-txt">SPRINGFIELD,  IL  (November  21,  2022)  -  UIS's  Speech  and  Debate  Team  attended  their  third  tournament  of  the  22-23  competition  season.  The  Online  Asynchronous  Tournament  Series  (OATS)  is  a  season  long  set  of  competitions  hosted  asynchronously  by  Southwest  Minnesota  State  University.  The  OATS  3  tournament  took  place  from  November  14th  to  November  18th  and  had  55  teams  from  across  the  nation  in  attendance.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Vickie  Cook  has  been  named  the  Vice  Chancellor  for  Enrollment  and  Retention  Management  at  the  University  of  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield,  pending  Board  of  Trustees  approval.



Cook  has  been  serving  as  Associate  Vice  Chancellor  for  Enrollment  &amp;  Online,  Professional  and  Engaged  Learning  since  August  2021.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Due  to  the  changes  yesterday  as  a  result  of  the  cybersecurity  incident,  connecting  to  the  VPN  now  requires  2FA.  The  login  screen  askes  for  a  2nd  password.&nbsp;







The  2nd  Password  field  is  for  two-factor  authentication  (2FA).  In  this  field  you  will  type  the  option  below  that  aligns  with  how  you  authenticate  with  Duo  Mobile  for  2FA.&nbsp;</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">UIS  experienced  a  cybersecurity  incident  this  week.  While  this  incident  was  caught  quickly  and  intervention  took  place  immediately,  we  are  acting  in  an  abundance  of  caution  and  requiring  that  all  UIS  users  reset  their  passwords.  Please  do  so  within  the  next  24  hours.  After  Friday,  November  18  at  3pm  CST,  we  will  expire  passwords  for  any  user  who  has  not  yet  reset  their  password  and  they  will  be  forced  to  reset  their  password  before  they  can  login  to  any  service.</div>
