The Colonnade
A frequent backdrop for concerts, picnics and other events on campus and a favorite photo opportunity, The Colonnade represents the future aspirations of the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield (UIS) campus.
As part of the University Hall Building project, Hanson Professional Services also provided master planning and design for The Quad and The Colonnade. A presentation on the Quad design was made at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield in February of 2004.
WUIS Rooftop Unit Replacement on Dec. 15
Facilities & Services personnel will work in collaboration with external contractors on Thursday, December 15聽to replace an old聽rooftop unit on聽the WUIS building.聽Work will begin at 7:00 a.m. and last most of the day as the old unit is removed and the new unit is聽placed and connected.聽Room temperatures may be unstable on the east side of the building until the new unit is fully operational.聽
Printing Molecules
A week before the end of spring semester, chemistry students gathered near the 3D printer in the back of a computer lab, watching closely as the machine whirred. The extruder moved back and forth in small, rapid motions, shaping blue filament into various molecular models the students had designed. For many, it was their first time using such a printer.
