"AI is at the forefront and is making its way into our everyday lives. During the March 2025 Lunch and Learn Series, Dr. Hei-Chi Chan, UIS associate professor of mathematical sciences and philosophy and co-founder of the university鈥檚 AI Campus Learning Community, gave a presentation on the evolution of AI, the university's AI Campus Learning Community, how students can make the best use of AI, and the future of AI in our society. UIS is offering a camp on AI this summer."
Carmen Llopis Fabra Earns Unanimous First Team All-GLVC Honors
UIS senior Carmen Llopis Fabra has been named a unanimous First Team All-GLVC selection, earning the third all-conference honor of her career.
The Castellon, Spain native has put together a dominant spring season, going 5-0 in GLVC singles play and recently climbing from No. 73 to a season-best No. 51 in the ITA national singles rankings. Her GLVC singles wins included a key victory over the No. 25-ranked player from Indianapolis in the final week of the regular season.
