        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  men's  basketball  team  improved  to  3-2  on  the  season  with  a  76-65  victory  over  Union  on  Wednesday  afternoon  at  the  DoubleTree  Thanksgiving  Classic  in  Springfield,  Mo.

&quot;We  really  defended  the  way  we  wanted  to  today,&quot;  said  coach  Matt  Brock.  &quot;Especially  during  the  middle  30  minutes  of  the  game,  we  were  disciplined  and  made  it  very  tough  for  them  to  get  good  shots.&quot;</div>

The  University  of  Ãå±±½ûµØ  Springfield  athletic  department  proudly  announces  its  recognition  as  one  of  just  43  NCAA  DII  schools  nationwide  to  receive  the  Presidents'  Award  for  Academic  Excellence.  This  prestigious  honor  is  awarded  to  NCAA  Division  II  institutions  that  have  achieved  an  Academic  Success  Rate  (ASR)  of  90%  or  higher.  UIS  earned  an  impressive  91% average  of  the  last  four  years  in  the  study,  highlighting  its  dedication  to  student-athlete  success.</div>
