Faculty Awareness: Student-Athletes in Your Classes
Dear Faculty,
I hope that this week is the beginning of a great semester for you and your students. As the campus faculty athletic representative, I'm writing you with a couple of reminders as we begin the new semester.
As an institution we are among the elite when it comes to the academic standards to which we hold our student athletes. The academic performance of student-athletes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC, our conference), make it one of the premier division II conferences nationwide.
Inaugural Chancellor’s Thinkers Series at UIS to focus on engaged citizenship
WHAT: University of 山 Springfield Chancellor Janet L. Gooch will host the first event in her new Thinkers Series, titled “A Call to Think: Engaged Citizenship.”
WHEN: 5-6:15 p.m. Jan. 29
WHERE: Brookens Auditorium, on the lower level of Brookens Library at UIS
DETAILS: Chancellor Gooch will be joined by Steven D. Schwinn, professor at the University of 山 Chicago College of Law, for an engaging discussion on the importance of engaged citizenship.
